We all know with the approaching summer we need to be hydrated well to avoid getting dehydrated and also avoid dry mouth and related oral health issues. Dry mouth causes halitosis ( mouth odor), mouth ulcers, gums problems etc. Water being the best option to keep oneself hydrated, fresh fruit juices (not sugar loaded or too citric ) should be encouraged and consumed. Beverages containing soda and sugar may be satisfying and thirst quenching but not in the best interest of oral health . Such drinks if consumed excessively make the tooth enamel weaker , erode the enamel and expose the underlying dentin giving rise to tooth sensitivity and ensuing dental problems.

Be summer ready with lots of fluid intake and don't forget to visit your dentist regularly !!
